Kara grew up in Troy, OH. She followed family tradition and went to Ohio Northern University for her undergraduate education. Although, she decided that she did not want to follow the tradition of becoming a pharmacist. Kara decided to pursue a career as a PA late in her undergraduate training. Once she was more familiar with the occupation, she knew it would be a good fit for her. She fell in love with emergency medicine during her EM rotation while in PA school at the University of Saint Francis. She thoroughly enjoyed the wide variety of patients she would see on a day to day basis and the interesting cases and pathology. She has worked in emergency medicine since graduating in 2013. After traveling to various emergency departments in Ohio, she is looking forward to coming back and staying in the Dayton area.
